20 July the ghost in the shell Recently, I got the ghost in the shell online comic books, movie and OVA type cartoon. The Ghost in the Shell story is very popular. The comic book started first in 1991 but only 2 books were made.(The original author is Masanue Shirow士郎正宗) In 2003, he made a different outline story about the main character Motoko leaving section 9 of Public Security for other story... This story talks about people in the future using their brain to connect with a computer and use weapons and robots to fight their war. Like the matrix, we can see how a computer is used in a similar way on main character. That idea comes from this story. Also, this writer uses some philosophical ideas, like in the book's name GHOST represents the human's brain, and Shell represents the machines. Even though the comic book is short, the cartoon continues the story and it becomes more complex than the comics. Also the ghost in the shell has 2 movies. The first one begins to make use of 3D graphics. But the second one really emphasizes 3D graphics. This movie is hard to understand, (especially since I got the VCD and it didn't have sound or subtitles...><I have to guess how the story is going…don't ask me what this movie's article looks like... ) This year 2005, the author made the story for the Apple Seed movie. We can know the style is similar, but in Apple Seed, more focus is on the bioroid story. As with his style, lots of symbolism comes out, but mostly from the myth.
